Poll: Do you have a thinking spot or a place you go to run and hide even if it's just for a few hrs. Mine is Newport, RI...If life is getting me down the boys and I take a drive over the newport bridge down to the cliff walks and fly kites...It's our get away spot for us to talk about anything and everything. I love the Cliffwalk! I don't really have a spot now. When in NH there was a clearing deep in the forest...beautiful. Peaceful. And occasionally I shared the spot with some deer.

Awwww I miss bambi's don't see me much here when I lived in OR my mom and I would go for long drives up in the mountains to spot deer, elk and quail. I miss the mountains but I'm thankfull I still have a drive I can take that is just as beautiful 3,500 miles away from the mountains to the flat lands on the east...There is beauty everywhere just gotta scope it out.

I love the cliff walk... I sometimes go to the Fells, it has some really beautiful hikes and it's peaceful for me.

The bathtub, or the gym... lying in bed first thing in the morning, or driving the car with good music on. I think and get inspirations best in those places. Special places are depp in the woods, the coast, the desert, or high desert of Oregon. And the beaches of Kauai don't suck, either.

My place is up above Muir Woods. It's a place where Rosalie and I walked every day for the x years we lived there. You can feel the space, the ocean is just in sight and you can hear the wind blowing in the Redwood trees down below. I don't go there very often nowadays - I need to find a similar place in the City so I can go without my car.

when i was in college and feeling rather down i'd drive to montara beach (just north of half moon bay) and sit an look at the waves. buttime i did drive to lake tahoe on the spur of the moment. that's my real happy place - only it's about x hours away. montara beach: tahoe (the west shore):

i like to drive and drive and drive and drive. especially at night, i like to find a really dark spot away from the city lights and geek out on the stars for a while. if my car was in better shape and gas wasn't over x effing dollars a gallon i'd go to the coast more often. it's only about x miles from here...i also enjoy going up to mt. tabor. the view of the city from there is pretty rad.

Take the sailboat out for a spin on San Francisco Bay. Love the smell and feel of the saltwater, white caps, and breeze on my face. Like to listen to the sails as the wind hits them. Can't wait to get back out on her.
