ahh...another happy customer Just got home after delivering packages all over the county today but maybe I can explain: If you live in a multi unit house or complex, the package cannot be left without a signature in case it gets stolen (then UPS is responsible for its loss and the driver is responsible for replacement costs). Sometimes the package is designated as "signature release only" and MUST get a signature. Customer counter is not open on week ends, that is true but if you ahead they may be able to locate the package and you can come pick it up but thats a personal decision made by the supervisor who is there. I know at my center our customer counter is open late and even after it closes we try to accommodate customers up until as late as 9- 10:00 at night. We do that every night as a courtesy. the center direct and talk to someone there. If you can't get the direct phone number maybe I can get it for you on Monday. OR, you can have the package rerouted to another address. Perhaps where you work where you will be available to sign for it. OR, you can sign the delivery notice if its that type of signature release. OR, leave a note authorizing a neighbor to sign for it. and yes, lots of bastards at UPS but most of us try our damndedst to get everyones packages delivered to them on time and in piece.
