wow, that's really a bummer. for the guests and for the hosts. I'm sorry that happened. I've never had that happen really. I am usually of the hosts and the group has a strict "back the others up" policy. We can disagree and fight til we are blue in the face at a meeting, but not at the party. We all know the rules and chances are we are all right and wrong in different ways. The only time that wouldn't be followed is if of us was flagrantly not enforcing a policy, but that has yet to happen. When we had a guest verbally assault a board member we had a couple board members entertain the inside guests and get the outside guests inside. We quarantined the problem and got it resolved so it couldn't affect the guests. Again, i'm so sorry your even was ruined. I'm sure theirs was too, but they may have been able to avoid some of that.
