who would take them out and take them to a shop? some rotors are pressed in and require special pneumatic tools to remove them

that's what I'm trying to tell you if the shop takes them out they will have to remove the brakes to get to them and at that point they may as well change them find a cheap mechanic to do and bring your own parts usually gas garages or independent ones can be talked down for price and if not a blowjob always works

if the rotors arent scored or any run out dont have them machined. a machined rotor is thinner, and that means less heat absorbtion/dissipation= meaning more heat fade, less effective braking . . never mind that a machined rotor may then be out of true- youll rarely find a shop with people who can accurately machine a rotor correctly . .

interesting didn't think about uneven machining but i was originally thinking either replace them or don't replace them, rather than having them turned i have to get them inspected
