DADT was her husband's policy It's awesome that she posted this... but avoiding mention of DADT especially when talking about G&L's serving "openly" because "it has gotten better" is screamingly ironic.

Hillary is her own person, she couldn't make policy decisions then for the country or her husband. At the time DADT was the effective policy; even today we have to realize that gay and lesbian soldiers are still living, fighting and dying along side the people who hate them the most. Its hard to reveal who you truly are when the hate is confronting you directly each day. They are brave young men and women but they aren't stupid, its going to take them some time themselves to even want to come out around their "fellow" soldiers. Most are understanding but it really only takes that don't want to understand to do real damage to a gay or lesbian soldier. We've come a long way but we have further to travel to win the respect and openess that is deserved; whether we want to play the game or not. The videos are to show our young people that as they grow they will be more confident in who they are so that they can become adults who have mature adult experiences and not to feel alone and to talk to someone they feel safe talking to about how they feel, if it helps a gay or straight I'm all for it. The young people I'm around have questions and I answer them the best I can but I don't want them to think I'm the representative for gay people I ask them to talk to their classmates and learn about things themselves. Some reject you some don't. Don't put it on person or campaign to change its going to take more than that to change the hate that is happening in our country.

I agree with both comments, but I still think she could have addressed DADT, especially *because* she is her own person separate from her husband, because it was a compromise and because it's getting repealed.
