syncing up I've never before dated someone long enough to sync up with her cycle, but I think it's happening now. I'm on what I believe is my third consecutive week of PMS and cramps, and although I don't keep very close track, I've got to be at least weeks late at this point. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was pregnant. Has anyone else experienced this? K keeps getting surprised by her periods every 3 weeks, and now it's looking like she's going to have periods before I see mine again. What the hell? Is this the way it usually goes? How long does this go on? I'm not in any pain and I don't think it's time to see a doctor yet, and I'd hate to go in for such a mundane, normal thing as syncing up with a partner.

I think soy products/soy milk can affect that if you have changed your diet.

As soon as I started thinking seriously about a woman everything got messed up for me. So it might be good to go in for a gay friendly gyn appointment. If your cycles have always been regular, I would expect cycles to drift gradually together. This often happened with me and close friends--even if the other person was irregular. I have always had a controlling cycle I guess. Everyone would drift toward my cycle, with my cycle changing less than day per cycle.

he hee! you have the High Priestess Cycle I just had a checkup and a clean bill of health a couple of months ago. I haven't changed my diet, although I do eat a fair amount of soy products, however my diet hasn't changed much in years. maybe an ovary mis-fired this month.

In college, I lived on a hall with about 6 or 7 other women year and by the middle of the semester, we were all in sync. Turned out I am a follower and it wasn't until I was living on my own that I really discovered that my true cycle was totally lunar.

hopefully nobody's following me after 38 years of every 28 days I now don't know when it's coming or if it's coming or how long it'll last. But day (or God forbid year) soon, the reward is mine.

Thanks, FD. It was no where near as bad at it could have been. The initial suspicion was that I had ovarian cancer but it wasn't, and my recovery was much, much faster than most women.

I find the no birth control / pregnancy worries to be quite freeing as well.

wanna hear something crazy? I took birth control pills for about x years as hormone replacement therapy. I have a whole list of things I've done that I never would have expected, and that tops the list.

And in my hetero past I was told that the BCP would not work for me--so I had to major in barior methods. PIA--and I was always angry about my fear of PG. In many ways I wish my psyke was ready for my true sexualy ID a bit sooner. Whatever.

A long time (I hope not) I have been very close to my girlfriend for many years. We have been a couple for just over x, spending the night twice a week and seeing each other x-x more days. We have been living together for x months, and last week was the first time we have EVER been close to the same. It took forever, with a lot of x week periods that just drug on forever. Maybe we're just both strong, leaders, or whatever, but I was just about to write that whole theory off as a wive's tale. I finished up on time, we'll see if we're really that close if she goes forever or actually has a normal (hers last longer than mine, even normally).
